“This is where my Dad & I had lunch – he had a rueben, I don’t remember what I had.”

This is where my father and I had lunch. It was one of the last times I remember having lunch with him at a restaurant. I remember it being equal parts awkward and fun. We never “jibed” but there were occasions where we would have good, meaningful conversations and get silly. This was one of those times. I don’t remember what I had, but he had a Reuben. I remember that because it was always his favorite sandwich, and he liked the one here. He flirted with the waitress, we discussed religion, he lamented about not being able to have a chocolate shake. These are the times I miss with him, he died in 2009.
